I am a 43 year old father of 3 beautiful african american young ladies and I was absolutlely thrilled when I read about your campaign against B.E.T. (beige entertainment television...they have really "lightened up!"). BET' primarily shows negative images of not just black women but black MEN as well. You look at a video and there is usually 1 or more guys rapping and they are all dressed up with all their 'bling' and the women is practically naked! The men/boys/guys are usually driving or standing near some extremely expensive car, boat, or plane and they are usually talking about what they want and plan on doing to our daughters, sisters, mothers, etc... or bragging about having large amounts of material possessions; NEITHER OF WHICH IS A TRUE MEASURE OF WHAT REALLY MAKES A MAN, A "MAN".

Before I go off on a long winded rant, I would just like to applaud you and your effort to confront BET on this very serious issue. We need more proud and courageous young people like yourself to stand up and make people realize that we will not just sit idly by and watch them parade these negative images of our people!!

THANK YOU!!!
