Jesus Healing the Sick Miraculous Healing.

(Akiit.com) The concept of Jesus healing the sick has always had its critics, even among well meaning religious people. It was that way in Jesus’ day, and it is that way now.
Fortunately the answer does not lie in man’s opinion, but on God’s Word. That is the reason we must personally read the Scriptures for ourselves.
Prayer:
We should always pray, because we are told that the, “…effective fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much,” (James 5:16).
It was Jesus who said, “…that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” (Luke 18:1).
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord,” (James 5:14).
Faith:
Jesus always required the person He was healing to have faith. When healing the blind men, In Matthew 29:9 we are told that He touched their eyes and said, “… According to your faith be it unto you.”
Child like faith is necessary in order to receive anything from God. Jesus could not do many miracles in His own hometown because of their unbelief. (Matt 13:57-58)
Doctors:
The question often arises, “should we use doctors, or only prayer? Above all, I believe we should always pray.
However, Jesus once said: “… They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick,: (Matt 9:12).
I believe God is the ultimate healer, but that He utilizes and blesses our wonderful doctors, nurses, and medical facilities, and that we should not hesitate to use them.
When doctors don’t have the answer we must remember that nothing is impossible to God.
God can heal in any number of ways, but His ways do not always make sense to the natural world/mind.
The examples given in the Bible on how to receive healing require prayer, faith, and obedience to His Word.
In John 9:1-7, Jesus made clay out of spittle and placed it upon a blind man’s eyes. He then told him to wash in the pool of shalom; he did and was healed.
What if some well meaning individual had convinced the man that the trip to the Pool of Siloam would be a waste of time; would the blind man have been healed? I think not.
In the Old Testament Naaman became infuriated when Elisha told him that he could be healed if he would dip seven times in the muddy Jordan River. When his servant finally convinced him to do as Elisha directed he was instantly healed, (2 Kings 5:1-15).
Naaman thought dipping in the water was foolish, even as some today think it is foolish to be anointed with oil, (James 5:14).
They do not recognize it as an act of obedience.
Just as He spoke the earth into existence, God can bring healing into your body, or situation. He loves you, and does not enjoy seeing you sick any more than you enjoy seeing your child or loved one sick.
For Jesus, healing your body is not difficult.
