Child welfare workers are supposed to stop that to protect the kids.

But bad things often happen while they watch.

“Children have a right to safety,” says Tim Keller. “If home is a danger, we as a society have to step in and protect those children.”

Keller, legal director of the Center for the Rights of Abused Children, is a libertarian.

“It’s surprising to hear a libertarian argue that government should do more,” I tell him.

“We don’t like the state involved in family life,” he replies in my new video, but “they’re leaving children in dangerous situations.”

Lots of parents abuse kids, even when they are on Child Protective Services’ radar.

Maybe it happens because child welfare workers are told, “Whenever possible, keep families together.”

That’s U.S. policy, and Keller says it wrecks lives.

But Columbia Law School professor Josh Gupta-Kagan wants welfare workers to take fewer kids from their homes.

“The horror stories go in all directions,” he says.

In Massachusetts, after parents brought their young son to the hospital with a fever and X-rays revealed an old, healing rib fracture, child welfare workers took both him and his brother away from their home. They returned the boys after four weeks, but those were a traumatic four weeks.

It happens because American law requires social workers, doctors, nurses, teachers, and other professionals to report anything suspicious. Those who don’t report may be fined or even jailed.

Gupta-Kagan says this leads health care workers to report too many instances of possible abuse.

“See something, say something. It’s surveillance, investigatory, and sometimes it leads to an unnecessary separation.” Those can be as traumatic as abuse.

“About 37% of all children are going to be the subject of a CPS hotline call. Fifty-three percent of all African American children. … Where my clients live … the CPS agency is a constant presence. … Folks are scared of them.”

“We certainly don’t want a situation where we’re going to say, ‘We’re not going to protect this child because he is African American,'” replies Keller. “But 2,000 children a year are dying in their homes, and most of those are known to Child Protective Services.”

Gupta-Kagan disagrees: “I don’t think I’ve seen any evidence that removing more children from parents saves lives. Child fatality numbers, unfortunately, have remained stubborn.”

In 2023, more than 100,000 kids were taken from their homes. Still, about 2,000 die from abuse or neglect.

Child welfare workers are overwhelmed.

“Millions of CPS hotline calls coming in,” says Gupta-Kagan. “If you want to find the needle in the haystack, we have to stop putting so much hay on the stack.”

Texas recently changed the definition of “neglect” to say that kids must be in “immediate” danger of harm before a child can be taken.

As a result, Texas now has far fewer children removed from their homes.

Keller calls that a mistake. “By the time a child is in imminent harm, they’ve already suffered so much trauma.”

Keller, who has been a foster parent himself, wants more kids taken from their biological parents and put in foster homes, sooner.

“That child only gets one childhood. We need to make sure that that child is in a safe, loving, permanent home as quickly as we can.”

That’s a noble goal. It’s horrible when kids are abused.

But some foster parents are abusive.

This is one conflict where I have no idea who is right.

Government is best when it governs least.

But when children are abused, we want government to step in.

What do you think?

(Akiit.com) On the most prestigious night of America’s film, movie, motion picture arts and Sciences known as the Oscars; currently celebrating their 94th award ceremony to honor the best films released between March 1 to December 31, 2021, we watch an insecure and jealous African American man walk up to another African American man and slapped him viciously over words or comments made as a joke which is customary of every host at the Oscars awards to do in order to entertain and engaged the attended, invited guest and nominees for that night. I have seen many host and comedians make jokes and fun of white actors and musicians such as Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, Alicia Silverstone, Cameron Diaz, Jim Carey, Robin Williams etc.. who are white and neither have ever walk up on the stage to slapped anyone regardless of what was said about them. But only African Americans want to displayed the image of violence already given to them by the same people who make and give out the Oscars Awards.

The world and the entire nation saw two African American men get in slightly verbal and physical confrontation displaying the symbol of violence, aggression, mental instability and emotional trauma that racist America constantly portrays and divulge about the black men of America who will fight and killed each other like animals for the simple things such as the color of your clothing, the shoes been worn and more so over the inappropriate behavior of a black woman who does not know how to control her sexual desires and keep her legs closed. Yes, we do know why Mr. Will Smith is so angry about! and it is not Chris Rock; instead it is the memes and mockery about him been taken for a fool and a simp by Mrs. Jada Pink. Mr. Will Smith was laughing at the jokes of Chris Rock as he has done for many years when Chris Rock throw jabs at everyone at the Oscars, music awards, essence awards, NAACP awards, and stand up comedy events. So Why is Will mad now about a simple joke on his cheating wife?

On the night of the Oscars we saw and emotional angry Will Smith smack Chris Rock on the face with his right open hand with a force enough to cause facial damage and contusion over an innocent joke about Jada Pinkett having a bald or no hair. Yet, we have not seen Will Smith walk up to August Alsina and smacked him senseless for putting his big dick inside Jada’s Pinkett Loosie Gussie Vagina at his own home. Yes, Will Smith did not get violent with August for fucking his wife behind his back after allowing him to spend time and be part of the Smith Family’s home. Neither did Will punched Marc Anthony for taping and smashing Jada Pinkett ass behind his back and neither did simp Will Smith beat Jada for saying and talking about Tupac Shakur been the one that she really wanted to married and the only one that she really love.

Now, Racist America and white people have watched this scene unfold and in their mind it reassures them that indeed black men are violent, unstable, emotional and dumb as fuck: but more so, because everyone is saying that Will Smith was right to defend his cheating woman then white people can now say that they also have the right to defend and assault any black men and black women for anything that they said about the white American community. No charges have been filed and no one was arrested and white people and black people are not demanding for Will Smith’s arrest; Therefore, if a white man, decides to walk up on stage and slapped a black comedian, host or entertainer then black America cannot point the finger at the white man because they did not point the finger at the emotional unstable black man, Will Smith.

Certainly, Will Smith would have never walk up on stage and smacked anyone if the host, comedian, entertainers had been a white man, a white woman or a Jewish person because his black ass would have been put in handcuffed immediately even without the white host pressing charges and white people at the Oscars would have demanded for justice. Indeed, In America no black men or black women have the right to lift a hand or finger at a white person regardless if the white person started the fight and assaulted you or spits in your face first. So wake up black America and do not tolerate this behavior among our people because we only have ourselves to defend ourselves against the pale skin demons of the west. I should mention that the fault lies in Jada Pinkett for manipulating the situation and indirectly telling Will to do something about it and He been so in love with her and weary of what she will think of him if nothing is said or done, He was involuntary force to proved his insecurity and lame masculinity on national TV by confronting a fellow black men, brother, descendant of African slaves and hitting him with no respect for the African American community in front of the Neanderthal cave dweller aka white people who could careless if blacks are fighting and killing each other over nothing which in their eyes is one less nigger to worry about.

Dear Will Smith, if you were a real proud black man, you would have divorced Jada Pinkett for all her indiscretion, infidelities, insults, emasculation, embarrassment and betrayal that she has caused and brough into your life. It was your cheating wife, who caused America to make a mockery and meme’s of you and your family. No one put a gun, knife, noose to the neck of Jada Pinkett and force her to cheat and fuck around with multiple men below your level and behind your back, So please do not blame black America and do not blame Chris Rock for your inabilities to control your freak ass entanglement cheating wife. A real man would have told his wife to calm down, it is not a big deal and it is just part of the Oscars academy awards for the host and entertainer to make fun of their guest. As a man you should have waited until the end and have a private conversation as a fucking man with Chirs Rock and tell him that his joke was not welcome towards your big penis loving wife and the next time He should only make jokes about you and not about her. Yes, this is what a man suppose to do and handle his problems and that of his cheating wife. Will Smith please find another wife or girlfriend because Jada loving big penis Alsina is going to get you lock up, fuck up or dead.

With that said, Black America and fellow African Americans stop fighting each other over a woman, over a simple joke, over material items, over spoken or written words, over religion, over wealth and over stupid things that are not doing anything to get our black community out of the current situation of poverty, unemployment, fatherless home, lack education, crime, excessive abortion, sexually transmitted diseases; envy, jealousy and hatred towards each other. Let’s save that energy to fixed the problems in our communities, to empower us, to create generations wealth for our children and to get rid of homelessness in black America. I will leave you with a thought by the producer of the documentary “Fatherless America“‘ by Tommy Sotomayor ” The solution of the black community lies at the very center of having a family that includes a father figure and a mother figure with good morals and a job in the home” which is something that over 80% of black homes do not have and thus causes the destruction and detriment of our children leading to violence, drugs, emotional instability, poverty etc. Below you will find a link to the “Fatherless America” documentary information on the problems of black America.

(Akiit.com) Greetings! It’s hard to believe that we have come to the end of 2021! So many challenges and triumphs. COVID-19 is still a real concern, but we do have a vaccine (age 5 to adult), social distancing and hand sanitizer and hand washing to combat its spread. December 2021 is much different than December 2020.

Last year there was a great deal of uncertainty with the economy and world health. Our U.S. economy is improving. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the unemployment rate is 4.2% compared to last year at this time when it was 6.7%. We still have a great deal of work to do but our future looks hopeful.

December is a time for many to gather with family and friends. Many people in our community celebrate any number of the traditional December holidays, such as Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa and New Year’s Eve. Some people don’t celebrate any of those holidays but gather nonetheless to reconnect and honor longstanding or new traditions. However you choose to spend your time, remember that time and people are precious. There’s a saying by the cartoonist Bil Keane: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift, hence we call it the present.” Treat the present as the gift that it is. Reach out to people you care about and let them know how important they are.

Like many, I’ve started to reflect on what I’ve experienced during the past year. My hope is to learn from my mistakes and build on my successes. I hope to set a positive intention for the coming year that will be a benefit to me and the community. I will soon start my preparations for Christmas and Kwanzaa. I started celebrating Kwanzaa many years ago with my family. I began the tradition in the hope that it would instill pride in our African American culture for my then-young children.

Kwanzaa (first fruits of the harvest) has seven core principles, or the nguzo saba. The (mishumaa saba) seven candles of the kinara (candle holder) represents each one of the principles. The candles are black (one candle), red (three candles) and green (three candles), which are also found in the Pan-African flag. Black stands for the people of the African diaspora, red for blood that binds us together and green for the continent of Africa. The black candle stands for unity and should be lit first.

The nguzo saba is something we can all reflect on throughout the year, not just in December. Umoja (unity), kujichagulia (self-determination), ujima (collective work and responsibility), ujamaa (cooperative economics), nia (purpose), kuumba (creativity) and imani (faith). Each person can determine for themselves how they honor or celebrate each principle.

The Kinara sits on a mkeka (mat) along with ears of muhindi (corn), representing children in the family. Even if there are no children, a few ears of corn are placed on the mat. Mazao (fruits and vegetables) are also placed on the mat along with the kikombe cha umoja (unity cup) and zawadi (gifts). The gifts should be educational or handmade if possible and are for the children of the family or community.

During Kwanzaa we greet each other with “habari gani” (what’s the news)? We answer by giving the principle for that particular day.

The Indianapolis Kwanzaa Committee will hold a virtual observance again this year. The Indianapolis Kwanzaa Committee began around 1979 with several families: the MwaAfrka family, the Kudo family and the Jywanza family. The late Mari Evans, poet, pianist and community activist, celebrated Kwanzaa. The committee is honored to use her kinara, which will be on display in the Center for Black Literature & Culture close to Kwanzaa.

Kwanzaa is an amazing opportunity for the community at-large to come together for a joyous event. Each day we will celebrate virtually on the committee’s Facebook page. Please visit and join in the celebration. We have many challenges ahead and I will discuss those more in future columns. At this time, I want to focus on hope and cooperation. There’s an old African proverb: “If you want to run fast, run alone. If you want to run far, run together.”

(Akiit.com) A favorite term used by “progressive” leftists is the word “reimagine.” Don’t be deceived as the word is basically a euphemism to cover up tearing down and removing that which they want erased. Example: “Time to reimagine policing” means defunding police, free bail, freeing felons and replacing law enforcement with “non-racist, compassionate social workers.”

Many Marxist-leaning proponents of the new society they want established also call for us to reimagine the way we raise children, eliminating scriptural practices. Reasoning with children and ignoring bad behavior are these activists’ solutions for the utopian “family” (whatever form it takes) they envision for the future.

A popular film in theaters currently is “C’mon C’mon” starring Oscar-winning actor Joaquin Phoenix. He has to care for a young boy who is “cute” but outspoken, obnoxious, manipulative, spews profanities and is encouraged to rant and scream when he’s emotionally frustrated or caught running away. Critics hail the movie as a “heartwarming” story great for the holiday season that gives us a glimpse into 21st century children.

How we must learn to discern amidst offerings like this in abundance today.

Scripture tells us “the corrections of discipline are the way to life” (Proverbs 6:23, NIV). We absolutely need to demonstrate affection and affirmation regularly, but love is also expressed in another way. What we need is a clear biblical worldview on the subject of child raising so both parent and child enjoy a positive result. Bottom line: We need realism versus idealism in raising kids.

Raising children requires a realistic perspective on our inherited sinful nature and a rejection of the “inherent goodness of man.” Adam rebelled, and all of us have ratified that rebellion because of our inherited sin nature. We don’t have to teach children to be selfish, lie, hit their siblings, steal or pout when they don’t get their way. We do have to train them to learn to control themselves and do what is right in the sight of God and man.

Worldly ways or scriptural standards

Don’t you just love it when so-called marriage and parenting guests expound their views on TV in their world of Utopia? One gorgeous celebrity has been divorced four times and yet goes on the circuit to promote her new book on romance and happy marriage. Another celebrity couple who are living together with no children confidently share their “wisdom” philosophy about raising their future children by simply reasoning with them, affirming them and consistently building up their self-esteem.

Wait till these well-intentioned but way-off-base “experts” confront strong-willed Grayson in all his glorious disobedience and defiance one day! This is why seasoned veterans chuckle at this idealism and understand bumper stickers reading: “Insanity is inherited. You get it from your children.”

Better to approach parenting God’s way and embrace the truth that appears on a plaque we had in our home: “It is better to build children than to repair men.”

If you permit a child to nurture destructive habits they will one day be forced (with greater difficulty) to break, you are living beneath the revealed will of God concerning your role as a parent.

“Correct your son, and he will give you rest; yes, he will give delight to your soul” (Proverbs 29:17, NKJV).

“Foolishness is bound up in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction will drive it far from him” (Proverbs 22:15).

“By mere words a servant is not disciplined, for though he understands, he will not respond” (Proverbs 29:19, ESV).

“The rod and reproof give wisdom, but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother” (Proverbs 29:15, ESV).

“Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you punish him with the rod, he will not die. Punish him with the rod and save his soul from death” (Proverbs 23:13-14, NIV).

God’s method for curbing harmful attitudes and nurturing healthy ones is not parents going ballistic, threatening, screaming, hauling off and smacking in anger, tuning out destructive conduct, bribing with candy or banishment to a room to brood in resentment amidst their latest “Meltdown Madness.”

Reclaiming not reimagining

Research reveals that in America up to 85% of parents acknowledge spanking in some situations. Every state in America allows corporal punishment of children. Nineteen states employee it in the schools. Due to increased disciplinary problems in schools, many are reevaluating their failing liberal policies, such as the Arlington school district outside Memphis, Tennessee, that voted to reinstate corporal punishment saying, “teachers need all tools possible.”

Professor Robert Larzelere of Oklahoma State University, who studied this subject for decades, states: “Backup spanking done calmly and in a consistent manner with defiant 2 to 6 year-olds, backing up milder forms of discipline like timeouts, is shown to be effective at changing behavior.”

Marjorie Gunnoe at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, states from her research that “children spanked in a calm, consistent manner have better outcomes than children who have never been spanked.”

Former NBA superstar Charles Barkley joked recently, “If corporal punishment is a crime, then every black parent in the South is going to be put in jail!”

An acrostic: C.O.R.R.E.C.T.IO.N.

C. CLARITY: Loving correction always begins by clearly defining and communicating reasonable boundaries before they are enforced.

O. OBEDIENCE: Spankings can occur if “Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right” (Ephesians 6:1, NIV) is violated.

R. RIGHT ATTITUDES: We are to “serve the Lord with gladness” (Psalm 100:2, ESV), so persistent whining and complaining has to be addressed.

R. RESTORATION: Embracing and reassuring a child afterward enables us to avoid leaving them feeling guilty or rejected.

E. EXPLANATION: Taking time to explain the offense as well as enabling the parent to calm down (if needed) makes this essential.

C. CONSISTENCY: Loving correction requires an investment and persevering commitment … “he who loves him is diligent to discipline him” (Proverbs 13:24, ESV).

T. THOROUGHNESS: Shaping the will without breaking the spirit requires being authoritative not authoritarian so the child experiences some pain versus simple “love pats.” “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant …” (Hebrews 12:11).

I. IMMEDIATELY: With exceptions, loving correction should be given in the moment not “when daddy comes home” etc. “Because sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the sons of men is fully set to do evil” (Ecclesiastes 8:11, ESV).

O. OUT-OF-SIGHT: Discipline is administered in private so as not to embarrass a child.

N. NEUTRAL OBJECT: Scripture advises a “rod” (a small, flexible branch) for correction.

Question: “Where is the rod administered?”

God in His wisdom prepared a strategic place on the anatomy of our small children which has ample cushiony tissue and sensitive nerve endings to respond to Spirit-led stimulation. This “seat of learning” is located at the base of the back, above the thighs, located directly on the bottom of every child. In 50 years of child-rearing and family counseling, I’ve discovered that all children come equipped with one! “On the lips of him who has understanding, wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks sense” (Proverbs 10:13, ESV).

Here’s the deal: We don’t need to “reimagine” how to train our small children but respect God’s way, which is always best!

(Akiit.com) Yes, The powerful black African American Queen with all her wigs, hair extensions, fake nails, fake eyes lashes, big buttocks and queens of twerking in public places will never have any type of men proposed to her and she will never know how it feels to be called a Wife. Certainly, many black sisters don’t even know or understand the concept of been a girlfriend, a faithful, honest, respectful, obedient, submissive and cooperative woman which means that her qualifications for marriage material is at the bottom of the barrel..

Today, if you asked a black woman what is the size of her ring finger, she will immediately assumed that your are talking about the length of the hair extension she bought from an Asian owned beauty shop or she will assume your are talking about her long hyenas nail claws that she also purchase from an Asian nail saloon. Indeed, our African American sister are more concerned with putting other races hair on their head and spending the little money they have in stores that are owned by Asians who are selling black products for black people and yet do not support or give back to the black communities. Many of these Asian stores understand that black woman loves the fake hair and fake nails that’s so embedded psychologically in their brain and they do not realize that those delusional physical enhancement will never provide them with the necessary skills and knowledge to find and keep a husband or find any men that is willing to put a promise, engagement and wedding ring on their finger.

According to Black Demographic.com, a black website that provides information on issues pertaining to the black community, has clearly stated that over 84% of African American women in America are single, unmarried, unwed and with 5 to 10 kids with 5 to 10 different saggy pants wearing black men. These black women are the so called strong, independent, loud, cursing and yelling all day, blaming everyone for their loneliness, cheating, twerking in public places to include hospitals, restaurants, courthouse, grocery stores, pharmacies etc.. These unwed and unmarried woman are the ones who spend their rent money on a Brazilian and Indian hair and let their bastard children starved or give them cheap unhealthy food from fast food restaurants. These “lovely ladies” a term use by Attorney Dennis Spurling on his YouTube channel to referred to black women in general with no understanding of life and those who are quick to blame a black man for their problems and loneliness.

The United States statistics for marriage and diversities studies of relationships per race groups indicates that black American women’s display lower marriage rates than any other racial groups in America. it is estimated that about 77% of black women are single, 32% of Hispanic, 27% of white and 21% of Asian women are single. The difference is that these other ethnic group of females are single with no kids but the 77% of single black women have over 3 to 10 children with multiple men who did not and have never attempted to proposed to these single black women. In addition, African American woman have been categorized for having the highest number of sexual partners in one month than all the groups of female races put together.

In America the average black woman in her mid 20’s has a body count of 60 to 75 sexual partners which also include partners of the same gender. While the average Asian woman in her 20’s has only 1 to 2 partners or she is still a virgin. As black women aged they tend to have more sexual partners, booty calls and one night stand with individuals who will never see them as wife and neither will they put a ring on the finger of those lovely black ladies. A current African American woman in her late 30’s to early 40’s has already a body count of over 150 to 425 men that she has slept with and about 90% of those sexual encounters there was no use of condoms or birth control. While in other communities the average Hispanic, Asian, middle eastern woman in their 30’s to 40’s have been with less than 4 to 6 men and during those encounters there was the use of condoms and birth control pills.

Now, why do black woman have such a high count of sexual partners compare to other female races in America and compare to black woman from other countries. African American women for a long time have been oversexualized and raise by single mothers who themselves grew up in a home without a father figure and where she observed her mother worry more about hair and nails than teaching and educating her daughters on the values, dignity and respect to ones body. Black woman in America are more concerned with wearing Friesian horse hair on their head, Hyenas claws on their nails and exposing their buttocks to the world by twerking in public places that are not dance clubs. Indeed, our African American woman are the least desirable by any men in America and the world to be considered as a wife and or an exclusive girlfriend. So the question and the topic of discussion is Why?

African American women in America do not want a good man or a husband because they are always picking the garbage and the leftovers of the inner cities. A black woman will pass a good descent hard working black man or any other good men in order to be with a saggy pants, tattoos on the face, thug, gang banger, drug dealer, unemployed, parole, probations, drug addict, weed addicted negro who will never see her as a wife but he will see her as a good fuck for the night. Yes, that is what black women like, a good fuck and goodbye for the night until the following weekend and the more a black woman give her body away with ease to these losers the less desirable she becomes for the good brothers and other good men of other races who are looking for a wife.

Of course there are other reasons why nobody wants to married the African American woman in America and those issues include but are not limited to black woman been unfaithful, loud, disrespectful, confrontational, manly features and behaviors, promiscuous, to many kids with multiple thugs, argumentative, lack of submissiveness and cooperation, not proficient in the kitchen and lacking good cleaning habits and poor personal vaginal hygiene. The aforementioned is just a few of the reasons why so many African American woman do not qualify as wife material or exclusive girlfriends.. In previous articles, I gave a list of things that a black woman should do in order to be respected by any men and for her to have a man bend the knee and put a ring on her fourth finger of her left hand; so once again i will include this list to help my lovely black ladies so they will learn how simple it is to get a husband because other females from other races are following those steps and they are getting married in high numbers.

Dear African American sisters please learn and follow these simple steps and you will see changes in your life and good thing will come to those who follow rules. As Kevin Samuels as stated before on his YouTube channel ” A black woman should always be respectful, submissive, obedient, cooperative and provide peace of mind to her man”

1.Stop doing drugs or smoking weed
2. Stop drinking excessive alcohol and getting drunk in public
2. Stop twerking in public and private place such as restaurants, hospitals, work etc.,
3. Stop cheating
4. Stop having unprotected sex
5. Stop having one night stands with strangers, co-workers, neighbors, friends, cousins
6. Stop talking to old booty calls
7. Stop wearing things on your body that does not belong naturally to you.
8. Stop cursing profanity
9. Stop yelling and been loud in public and private places
10. Stop arguing and fighting in public and private places
12. Stop disrespecting your black man or any men
13. Stop putting tattoos on your face, neck, chest and legs.
14. Stop putting to many piercing on your face and lips
15. Stop talking and hanging around with thugs, gang members, drug dealers and drug users.
16. Stop sleeping with married men or men who are committed in another relationship.
17. Stop flirting with your female friend’s boyfriends
18. Stop having kids out of wedlock
19. Stop oversexualizing your body
20. Stop doing anything that will make you undesirable for any respectful men.

(Akiit.com) The instant the news broke from Bend, Oregon that 22-year-old Barry Washington was shot dead by Ian Cranston in a bar dispute the messages, emails and calls poured into the Deschutes County District Attorney’s office. They all said one thing: remember Emmett Till. Till’s lynch murder in 1955 in Mississippi by white men enraged at Till’s supposed flirt with a white woman shocked the nation. It also brought the ancient paranoia, phobia, and often deadly consequence of Black men having any hint of interracial intimate relations with white women to the surface. That hint cost Till his life.

The respondents to Washington’s murder said pretty much the same thing. Cranston shot Washington after he allegedly made what he considered inappropriate remarks to his white girl friend. Cranston is a white man. The DA minced no words. In announcing the arrest and filing of multiple charges against Cranston, he angrily noted the long and disgraceful history of lynching, murder and maiming of Black men for alleged sexual relations with white women. Now, the murder of Washington didn’t happen in Mississippi, or any other Deep South state. This is not the 1950s in a still deeply racist, and segregated America. Supposedly, there has been a vast sea change in American attitudes toward interracial relations, sex, and marriage. To a great extent there has been.

A Pew research poll in 2017 the most comprehensive to date on the subject found a steep drop among all age, gender, and ethnic groups in opposition to interracial marriage. But there was a cloud. The poll still found hardened, unyielding attitudes toward interracial marriage among less educated persons, and GOP supporters. Even more worrisome the poll found the hostility toward interracial marriage greatest in many rural areas of the country. The frozen in time attitude toward interracial relations especially between Black men and white women from this profile warn that non-urban area such as Bend, Oregon, still hold danger for minorities.

For his part, Cranston claimed there was no racial animus. That he shot Washington in self-defense following a physical scuffle. However, an alleged videotape of the shooting purports to show that the N word and other racial epithets were used during the altercation.

Given the still considerable hostility among a considerable number of whites to interracial sex and marriage, the horrific conclusion is that Washington, an African American, had presumably violated America’s oldest and most enduring taboo: the horror of Black males having sexual relations with white females. Many though are still perplexed that such a despicable notion could be the cause of violence against a Black man.

There has been a major increase in black and white marriages in the past two decades. Many top Black athletes and entertainers and public officials have high profile marriages to white women. But these marriages still account for only a tiny fraction of total marriages, and the overwhelming majority occur in multiracial urban areas.

Many Blacks still know the history of the lynch murders of Till and Mack Charles Parker for the alleged rape of a white woman in 1959. As late as the mid-1950s, interracial marriage was a felony offense in thirty states, with heavy fines and prison terms. Six years after the Supreme Court struck down school segregation in 1954, 29 states still outlawed Black-white marriages. Maryland and Nevada went further, banning all sexual contact between Blacks and whites.

The civil rights movement and the political emergence of Asian and African nations in the 1960s, however, made anti-miscegenation laws a political liability and the Supreme Court in 1967 finally dumped them. This did not sound the death knell for the taboo. Though legally unenforceable, bans on interracial marriages remained on the books in twelve states in 1979.

In 1996, an informal survey in Ebony magazine found 40 percent of black women and 25 percent of Black men saying they would not date a person of another race. Even today, many still express the same reservations.

Hollywood and the TV industry, and corporate advertisers have gotten much better in depicting Black men and white women in a variety of interracial settings, some intimate. And the polls do show the majority of Americans say they are indifferent to interracial sexual relations.

But there’s still the inescapable fact that Washington is dead. And he’s dead because of the precipitating act of him talking to a white woman in a Bend, Oregon bar. Anti-miscegenation laws may be buried, and Americans may be more tolerant toward interracial sex, so the notion that someone can be murdered for merely talking to someone of a different race seems far-fetched. Yet, the fact that so many are instantly willing to think the worst about Washington’s death, and that so many Americans, still express fears about white women and Black men dating and marrying, remind us that this oldest of taboos is still very much alive and well.

(Akiit.com) On this Father’s Day weekend, let’s examine a recurring theme among progressives: the evils of family. Specifically, the evils of an intact two-parent family. Y’know, with an evil patriarchal dad in the home. The horror.

Why is “family” so evil?

Nearly every ill America is now experiencing can be traced to the leftist agenda, and the left has never made any effort to disguise their loathing for the intact nuclear family. By reworking the concept of “family” to include every variable under the sun, they are able to shoehorn their fake families into mainstream America.

In fact, abolition of the nuclear family is one of the underpinnings of Marxism and can be found in “The Communist Manifesto.” It’s easy to understand why. Strong, united families are virtually immune to the lures of Marxism. “Leftism is rooted in Marxist collectivism and loyalty to the state,” notes Linda Goudsmit in PolitiCrossing. “Conservatism is rooted in individualism and loyalty to the family.” Therefore, the family must be smashed.

In 1884, a book entitled “The Origin of the Family” was published by Marx’s protégé, Friedrich Engels, as a posthumous tribute to the ideals of Marx. In the preface, Engels makes it clear that the book reflected Marx’s views. Engels envisioned a culture in which “the single family ceases to be the economic unit of society. Private housekeeping is transformed into a social industry. The care and education of the children becomes a public affair; society looks after all children alike, whether they are legitimate or not.”

Paul Kengor in The Federalist summarizes “The Origin of the Family” as follows: “There, and elsewhere, we see, among other things, a fanatical push to abolish all right of inheritance, to end home and religious education, to dissolve monogamy in marriage, to pursue pre- and extra-marital sex, to foster and ‘tolerate’ (as Engels put it) the ‘gradual growth of unconstrained sexual intercourse’ by unmarried women, to nationalize all housework, to shift mothers into factories, to move children into daycare nurseries, to separate children into community collectives apart from their natural parents, and, most of all, for society and the state to rear and educate children.”

I think it’s safe to say every one of these points has been realized in modern America, wouldn’t you? You can also read the “Communists’ Ten-Point Plan for Erasing Families” here.

This, then, is one of the underlying reasons progressives hates families. They prefer to encourage both men and women to engage in reproductive behavior without the reproductive consequences – or the protection marriage brings to that reproductive behavior and consequences.

Public education has become the go-to means of separating children from their families physically, morally, spiritually and even medically (since everything from COVID shots to abortions to full-scale transgender treatments can now be done independent of parental consent). If the lockdowns of 2020 did nothing else, it opened peoples’ eyes to this agenda.

Goudsmit points out, “In contemporary America, the radical leftist Democrats are following the Maoist cancel-culture model. They are targeting the three supporting pillars of American society; the American family, our Judeo-Christian faith, and the U.S. Constitution symbolized by our American flag. Cancel culture is asymmetric warfare used by the advancing enemy to prepare the population for a replacement ideology. … The collapsing American family is a microcosm of the collapsing American democracy.”

In short, every tactic used by the progressive left – every single tactic, no exception – is done with the intent to undermine America. Bringing down the nuclear and extended family is one of those tactics – and an important one.

When we see cheery chipper children’s books celebrating “alternate” family structures, it’s easy to see what they are: the camel’s nose under the tent, an early step to normalizing the abnormal and turning the nuclear family into something fearful and backwards. Questioning this logic will get you attacked and canceled.

For decades, feminists called for society to “dismantle the patriarchy,” but after 50 years of doing just that, we now have positive proof where it leads. Warren Farrell, a prominent scholar who once sat on the board of the National Organization for Women, now sounds the alarm on what he calls a “crisis” of fatherlessness. He tracked the dismantling of fatherhood in many communities that wreaked a devastating toll on boys and men, including a rise in gangs, homelessness, and domestic and foreign terrorism.

Having conducted extensive research, Farrell went to the board of NOW and told them that “dad-deprivation is an important thing.” He was met with total silence. Then he was kicked off the board. He was later told that the NOW membership wanted women to be able to have children by themselves or to have the freedom to easily move to another state and take their children with them following a divorce. Get rid of those dads! Who needs ’em?

This tells you what you need to know about radical leftists. Remember, this is the group that actively reduces women to the sum of their reproductive organs (“birthing persons”), and yet claims this doesn’t qualify as misogyny.

It’s all so twisted and warped, isn’t it? What once was a beautiful thing – two opposite-sex parents raising their children – has become the personification of evil.

Why does it have to be like this? When did fathers become the enemy?

So while we may pay lip service to the importance of fathers on Father’s Day, in fact we should recognize that fathers are possibly the single-most essential weapon to fight back against this war being waged by leftists to destroy America.

Look, life is messy. Things happen. Spouses cheat. People die. Addictions cause ruin. Poor judgment causes pain. I cannot and will not condemn those families in which fatherlessness occurs through human weakness or accidents or death.

But acknowledging that not every child will grow up in a two-parent household is not the same as encouraging and accepting it as the ultimate middle finger to “the patriarchy.”

To all the men who embrace their role as father: I salute you.

To all the women who know the value of men: I applaud you.

To all the progressives who think dads aren’t necessary and families are evil: Get your head out of your unmentionable body part.

(Akiit.com) It doesn’t matter how together your life seems to be, sometimes things go wrong. Often these aren’t situations that have anything to do with our behaviour; it’s just life throwing us a curveball. Occasionally, when our backs are up against a wall, or if we are going through a tough period, then we make mistakes. If you have experienced that, you know how hard it is to recover.

The most important thing when you make a mistake is to own it. You are only human, and all of us are flawed. Situations can arise in our lives which make our behaviour seem strange to other people. The truth is, we can’t get everything right all of the time. Mounting pressures, particularly financial ones, can affect our mental health and before we know it, we have said or done something that we regret. Taking ownership is the first step to moving forward and getting a grip on the situation. We all have to be accountable to grow, adapt and learn.

Depending on the situation, there are always people around you who can support you. They can also help you to reduce the effects that the situation has on your life. For example, if you have an OUI arrest and are facing losing your licence, you might find a lawyer who can help you get a hardship license. This could save you from losing your job if you lose your licence. Essentially granting you certain conditions where you are allowed to drive. You will need to demonstrate that you understand what you have done and be willing to take any punishments that might come your way. If you can do this, and remain calm, then a judge will help you wherever they can.

Sometimes the problems that we end up in aren’t of our own making at all. Such as a partner cheating on you. This can be an utterly devastating time. Discovering that the person you trusted completely, could let you down so badly. Situations like this can lead us to fall into despair; often, we are left confused by what has happened, particularly if we thought everything was fine.

In a situation like this, you should focus everything on yourself. You need to think about what you may have done for the love to break down so much, however, remember that all breakups, even ones that are unfair or sudden, are because two people couldn’t make it work. You shouldn’t blame yourself for their lack of integrity, but you should use the experience to grow, this will ensure you are happier moving forward. If you are struggling with your emotions, then you need to talk to someone. This could be a friend or family member or maybe, you might find it easier to speak to a counselor.

Whatever situations come your way, if you have accountability but face them with honesty and an open mind, then you will get through even the worst of circumstances.

(Akiit.com) A break-up is one of the most difficult things that you can face in life, and it can seem as though your world is falling apart around you. What are you going to do without that person that you cared about so deeply; the person with whom you shared everything? Whilst it can seem like you’ll never recover, and that aching pain in your chest will never subside, there are many ways that you can help yourself to get onto the path towards healing. We’ve noted down some ideas, to help you to mend a broken heart.

Think about the bad times

OK, this sounds like a pretty horrible thing to say. But if you’re experiencing a break-up for a reason – maybe you’ve been arguing a lot, or one of you cheated – then you need to keep this in mind. Of course, thinking about the good times is important too, and you shouldn’t only dwell on the things that made your relationship fail. However, you really need to think about things logically, rather than emotionally. Was your relationship more bad than good? Keep this in mind, even if it seems like you’d do anything to have that person back right now. Romanticizing the whole thing really won’t help you in the long-run.

Prioritize your future

Whilst it can, at times, seem as if you can never have a happy future without this person, the truth is that you definitely will. In fact, a few months down the line, you’ll be back to prioritizing what really matters: your future, and what you want to do with it. A break-up is a perfect time to take on a brand new perspective, and to put yourself first again. Think about all of the things that you want to do in the future, and how you’re going to work on making sure that you achieve them. Jumping straight into a different relationship is a bad idea, so be sure to focus on you, and what you want, for a while after your break-up.

Stay as busy as possible

When you go through a break-up, lying in bed, crying, and watching sad movies, can seem like the best way to deal with things. After all, you can’t go outside when you’re a bit of a crying mess, can you? However, after the mandatory two-day crying and wallowing period, you need to make sure that you’re getting out there, and keeping yourself as busy as possible. You will only feel worse if you stay inside in your pyjamas, ranting to your housemates about how you’re going to die without this person and you don’t know how you’re possibly going to go on. Keep busy, and get out of the house as often as you can.

So, if you want to get over a break-up and get on the path to healing, then make sure that you remember these simple things. Whilst it is really difficult now, it does get better, so hold onto some hope for your future. You can do it, we believe in you!

(Akiit.com) A few years ago when then-Indiana Gov. Mike Pence came under intense national media scrutiny, first in the gay hysteria surrounding that state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act in 2015 and then in 2016 when he was tapped as Donald Trump’s running mate, he was widely ridiculed for having a certain personal rule. East Coast elites and inside-the-beltway snobs laughed at Pence and mocked him for having a personal policy of never dining alone with a woman besides his wife. Major media portrayed him as a flyover country puritan laughably stuck in a bygone era.

Liberal commentators chuckled and rolled their eyes about what a hopeless simpleton he must be. Never mind the fact Pence was a popular six-term congressman and high-ranking House Republican who only left Capitol Hill to be the successor to Mitch Daniels as Indiana governor. Pence has been in politics and spent over a decade in Washington. He is no bumpkin, and he has seen the D.C. sewer up close. He is smart.

When the ‘MeToo’ movement began after allegations of sexual harassment by Hollywood bigwig Harvey Weinstein, followed by women everywhere making accusations against prominent men, Pence’s personal rule suddenly seemed sensible.

In a recent piece at Bloomberg, a pair of female writers lament the natural reaction to the avalanche of allegations by women against men at the top of every industry. In response to the never-ending allegations ending careers everywhere, men are adopting Mike Pence’s rule. And then some. The story focuses on male executives on Wall Street who are quietly adopting “controversial” strategies to avoid putting themselves at risk of being accused of sexual harassment. These include things like not conducting closed-door meetings with a woman, never sitting directly next to a female colleague on an airplane, keeping a safe distance from women on elevators, making sure hotel rooms are on separate floors when traveling on business and, of course, Pence’s rule of no dining out one-on-one with females.

The business and political world is referring to this as “the Pence Effect.”

Liberal reaction to these proactive measures is that men are now committing sex discrimination. The writers of the piece promote an alternative solution whereby men just “don’t be a jerk.” In the story they quote an employment attorney who advises, “If men avoid working or traveling with women alone, or stop mentoring women for fear of being accused of sexual harassment, those men are going to back out of a sexual harassment complaint and right into a sex discrimination complaint.”

Men are in a position where they’re at risk of being sued no matter what they do. In the story, one Wall Street source said hiring women at all presents an unknown risk.

A connection that nobody is making in all this is with the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings. The indefensible accusations made against Justice Kavanaugh have only reinforced the Pence Effect to include teenage young men and even younger. The left has weaponized male/female relationships to destroy their political opponents. This needs to be acknowledged and taken into consideration by everyone: Men, boys and the parents of boys.

The left’s response to all this is that men should do nothing to protect themselves, because to do so is discrimination. According to the left, men should entrust their careers, reputations and finances to women whose motives and ambitions are unknown and simply trust them not to make false accusations. This is similar to liberals’ position regarding women’s safety on campus.

In 2014 when Rolling Stone magazine published a fake story about a woman being gang raped in a fraternity house, a national discussion was had about women’s safety. Having three daughters in college at that time, our family had a personal interest in the topic. We made a point to impress on the girls to be alert and take affirmative steps to assure their own safety. Walk with a friend at night on campus; never drink from a can or bottle you did not see opened; if you arrive with your friends, make sure to leave with your friends. These and other personal rules are the same ones my wife and many other women have used for years to ensure they are not in a position of relying on someone else for their safety. My liberal friends reacted to these rules with horror and disgust. Their standard angry response is “Why don’t we just teach men not to rape!”

Well … yes.

But it is irresponsible to trust your safety and/or life to everyone else and hope for the best. As always, personal responsibility is what liberals are fighting against.

Similarly, men are seeing their colleagues’ careers, lives, reputations and finances destroyed by accusations. Allegations can be years or decades old and impossible to defend against. The Kavanaugh hearings just reinforced this danger and showed even young men and boys need to be careful. You have to be responsible for yourself and make sure to not get in a position of trusting other people with your reputation and livelihood.

In discussing this article, my wife pointed out that these measures being taken by men are not just to protect themselves, but should also be considered to protect women by making certain they are never in a vulnerable position. It would be like a young man in college having a personal rule that he never brings an open can or bottle to a girl or asks a girl to leave without her friends – even if he would do these things with a male friend.

Feminists have boxed themselves in. On one hand, they take advantage of accusations to paint men as vicious animals and advance the narrative that women are victims. The left has weaponized male-female relationships against men. So now, as men take extraordinary efforts to make certain women are safe from sexual harassment, the same women who championed the women-as-victims narrative turn to accusations of discrimination.

Liberals have rigged the game to claim to be victims either way.
