Then, over time, people started working from home more and more, either setting up their own businesses or doing their old job, out of their home office while still employed by a company. But still, you either worked, or you didn’t. The internet has allowed greater flexibility when it comes to working, and now many people are choosing a different path. They are working as freelancers.
People choose freelance work in a huge variety of different fields. Some work as freelance writers, solely online. Others work as photographers, fitting in projects around other commitments. Some work as freelance consultants, helping other people set up 
businesses and avoiding pitfalls. Others still work as freelance artists, designers, musicians or tutors.
