Michael’s Doctors and Chris Brown’s Mother…

(Akiit.com) Dr. Conrad Murray must be sweating bullets. Now that Michael Jackson’s death has been officially ruled a homicide, the physician who administered the drugs that killed him will almost certainly wind up in court. Even if a grand jury decides not to charge Murray with manslaughter (I wouldn’t bet on that slim possibility), Michael’s mother has already hinted at suing Murray for wrongful death. So, one way or another, Dr. Murray is going to pay.

Murray may not be the only doctor who had a hand in killing Michael Jackson. There is mounting evidence that the musical icon’s dermatologist, Dr. Arnold Klein, may have illegally supplied Jackson with some of the prescription drugs Jackson apparently consumed in huge quantities. Chickens may be fluttering home to roost on Dr. Klein’s shingle as we speak.

Sadly, the real culprit in Michael Jackson’s demise is not the doctors but Michael himself. The King of Pop was a drug abuser and probably an addict. He went to great lengths and spent massive amounts of money to obtain pain pills, sleep aids, anti-anxiety medicines and the operating room anesthetic propofol (a.k.a. diprivan). Nobody forced Michael Jackson to abuse those drugs. He chose to do so. For years. When his siblings and other loved ones tried to intervene he played it off and distanced himself from them.

Dr. Murray had no business pumping propofol into Michael’s veins. Or leaving the room while Michael was under the drug. Or waiting a ridiculously long time before calling 911. Murray needs to answer for his sins and his crimes. And if Dr. Klein was Michael’s drug connection then he needs to face justice, as well.

But punishing his doctors won’t alter the heartbreaking fact that Michael Jackson was an active participant in his own destruction. The doctors may have assisted in his death but, ultimately, Michael Jackson killed himself.

CHRIS BROWN

Chris Brown’s mother wants to thank Chris’ fans for their support. She also seems to want everybody to feel sorry for Chris. In a message posted on TheChrisBrownFanClub.com, Joyce Hawkins went on about her pain, God, and why she’s not ashamed of her son. But “Momma Joyce” didn’t say a single word about the woman her son victimized.

Joyce Hawkins’ message goes like this:

“I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you for your continued support. I’m sorry I wasn’t allowed to speak to anyone as this case was ongoing. I can now say this has been the most painful moment in my entire life, but knowing that you were still standing by Chris’ side in his time of need made this a little easier for us. Because of all your prayers, God brought him through. I just want to say God has never failed me and never will. All moms and dads please stand by your children and pray for their goodness each and every day.”

What exactly did God bring Chris through? Not having to go to jail for assaulting his girlfriend? Or is Chris’ mother hinting that her son was treated unjustly? I’m quite sure this has been the most painful moment in Rihanna’s life, as well and it would’ve been nice for Chris’ mom to at least mention that. Maybe add her own apology to Chris’ video mea culpa. But, apparently, Rihanna’s feelings aren’t very important to Momma Joyce. Her goal seems to be to make us take pity on her son, as if he is some kind of victim. Which he is not. And of course parents should stand by their kids! But when they fall short of the goodness we pray for, we should hold them accountable and not gloss over their wrongdoing.

Chris Brown’s mother ends her message by saying: “I made a promise I would never be ashamed of him no matter where I am or who I talk to. You see this whole thing isn’t about Chris, it’s about God. He wants to show all of you the goodness of him through Chris. Chris will be addressing all of his fans very soon. We love you so much and so does God.”

Shame on Chris Brown’s mother for not feeling ashamed! Chris Brown used his fists to beat the crap out of the woman he supposedly loved. If that isn’t shameful behavior then I don’t know what is. As for God, He always shows His goodness. But it wasn’t part of God’s plan for Chris to beat up Rihanna. That was a sin. However, if Chris is truly repentant then God has already forgiven him. But pardon me if I’m not trying to hear any sermons from Chris Brown right now.

Thanks for listening. I’m Cameron Turner and that’s my two cents.
