Plus, weekly meetings help bring your whole team together. Chemistry is important here, especially if your staff will be working together for many years.
Fully train your employees
You need to train them to be efficient in a wide variety of areas. Start with the industry-specific skills first. If you’re an IT company, then IT management training is a must. Then, move onto more general courses, such as lean training and even team building.
Implementing lean Six Sigma training allows your company to boost customer satisfaction and even save cash. This is because you’ll be improving a variety of business processes, by training individuals who need it most.
In short, identify who needs training, and at what level, and do it! Your employees are the cogs that make your business work, so make sure they’re well-oiled.
Start a filing system
By properly filing all important documents and throwing the rubbish ones, you can more easily find what you need. No longer will you be wading through cabinets and papers to find that one invoice. You’ll also reduce your own stress, and make things easier to manage.
Attend industry events
This allows you to meet other like-minded individuals, and you may even pick up some valuable pieces of advice. There will always be something you don’t know, and this is a fine way to find out what that is. You can discuss your industry with people who are equally as passionate about it. Along the way, you’ll discover new techniques that you can implement in your own company. You could even hold your own event, if you’re feeling adventurous!

This is arguably the simplest way to get to the heart of any matter. Your customers won’t be afraid to be honest with you, and they’ll definitely tell you if something’s wrong. This way, you can find out what you need to do to improve, without lifting a finger!
Delegate effectively
Your business is your baby, but that doesn’t mean it’s completely your responsibility. Sometimes, you have to let the parents babysit, so to speak. By delegating certain tasks to your employees, you take a load off your own shoulders. As a result, you are doing fewer tasks, but to a better standard.
If you take on too much, you’ll end up tired, and frustrated. All those jobs you then attempted won’t be done right, which wastes time. By spreading your workload out evenly, you ensure that every task is finished to the best possible standard.
