(Akiit.com) A game to test the ingenuity or intellect of a person is commonly called a puzzle. Puzzles have been there since time immemorial and have served varying purposes from a recreational activity to a wartime strategy. The difficulty levels also began varying in terms of situations and so did the complexity of the same. Over a period of time, multiple variants of certain types of puzzles have emerged for varying groups with varying interests. The jigsaw puzzle is one such example, and it has become a very popular form of indoor recreation these days. It is a tilling puzzle and requires the user to assemble broken pieces of varying sizes to create a story. In fact, they sharpen your mind while increasing your ability to measure. As you join one piece to another by fusing them into the right ridges to create a story or a map which would teleport you to another world. Time flies and you get deeply engrossed in the visual web.

Puzzles have been given to children from a very tender age to increase their levels of patience. This proves that you need not be intelligent or bestowed with skills to solve a puzzle. You keep playing and learning and soon discover your methods of solving a riddle. What might appear as a juvenile game paves the way for a successful adulthood with a sharp mind and even calculative skills. As a child, while solving the puzzles you are exposed to kingdoms, castles, dragons, animals, and beautiful scenarios. The colors and patterns add to your creative thinking and visual knowhow. In fact, the visual knowhow often makes you add colors and creativity in the long run to your work. If you wish to venture into the visualizer or art director field, puzzles make an excellent dope for your thoughts and concepts. Your problem-solving abilities and team working skills get brushed up and you transform into an excellent leader later on in life.

Pieces usually come in packs of 1,000, 1,500, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 5,000, 6,000, 7,500, 8,000, 9,000, 13,200, 18,000, 24,000, 32,000, and 40,000. The most common layout has about 38 by 27 pieces and some puzzles come with double sides for greater engagement and fun. This not only adds to the intriguing element of the puzzle but makes it difficult to solve.
