Hall of Famer & Patriot Jim Brown vs. American-hater Colin Kaepernick.

(Akiit.com) While Nike embraces BLM supporter Colin Kaepernick, football great Jim Brown says “We should never denigrate our flag and our national anthem.”
In an eye-opening interview on “Fox & Friends,” the pro-football Hall of Famer shared his thoughts on President Donald Trump, race, and spoiled NFL players who refuse to stand for the national anthem.
Brown told Fox host Brian Kilmeade: “We should look at ourselves first before we look at the president. We have to be able to, as citizens, bring something that the president can join forces with and triple the effectiveness of it…We should never denigrate our flag and our national anthem. We should always be Americans first and we should work our butts off to make it a better country. But to not respect your flag and your national anthem is something that I would never do.”
Jim Brown is absolutely right! Denigrating the flag and then blaming the president for pointing out the disrespect is not the solution. It’s an insult to the fans and to those who serve to protect the values and freedoms Americans hold dear.
Compare Brown’s stance to what Kaepernick said about the reason he won’t stand for the national anthem. Kaepernick told NFL.com’s Steve Wyche: “I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color. To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
Brown has been an activist for decades. At times, he’s been a vocal critic of the U.S. government, but unlike Kaepernick, Brown is a patriot and he won’t disrespect the flag or turn his back on the country.
For all their complaining, what have Kaepernick and his fellow disgruntled black athletes done to solve the alleged “racism” and “police brutality”? Absolutely nothing. All they do is kneel and run their mouth.
Athletes like Jim Brown took action during the civil rights movement. They joined peaceful marches and petitioned lawmakers to change laws so blacks could have equal protection under the law. And unlike today, blacks had legitimate reasons to call for change.
Today, mediocre athletes like Kaepernick seek fame and fortune by exploiting fake allegations of “racism.” Yet these same people are silent when it comes to black-on-black violence. In the city of Chicago alone, more than 1,000 people have been shot (mostly black youth) since Memorial Day weekend.
Colin Kaepernick was becoming obsolete, and he was on his way to being relegated to the ash heap of history, but Nike threw him a life-line worth millions by making him the face of their “Just Do It” campaign. Kaepernick is no hero – he’s a zero!
Why would Nike hitch their brand to a divisive figure like Kaepernick?
According to reports, a group of female former employees are suing the company over allegations that it systematically discriminated against women and fostered a hostile work environment. By aligning itself with Kaepernick, Nike could be trying to get ahead of this story and appease SJWs and feminists.
In the wake of the Kaepernick endorsement deal with Nike, Mississippi’s public safety commissioner said the state agency, which includes state police, will no longer be allowed to purchase Nike products. Good for them!
Donald Trump tweeted: “Just like the NFL, whose ratings have gone WAY DOWN, Nike is getting absolutely killed with anger and boycotts. I wonder if they had any idea that it would be this way? As far as the NFL is concerned, I just find it hard to watch, and always will, until they stand for the FLAG!”
Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper appeared on CNBC and slammed President Trump. Tepper said the attacks on players who protest during the national anthem is “the biggest pile of bull-dinky ever.”
David Tepper and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell are cowards. Instead of repudiating the disrespectful behavior by their employees, they’re trying to make President Trump the bad guy for calling out the insolent players. The NFL’s refusal to stop this mess is dividing the country.
According to a poll by Quinnipiac University, Americans are split down the middle on the kneeling issue. Of the poll’s respondents, 47 percent said they approved of players kneeling to protest police brutality and social injustice, while 47 percent disapproved.
Despite his afro, Colin Kaepernick is bi-racial. He was adopted by a white family and lived a very comfortable life in California’s Central Valley (far away from the inner city).
On the other hand, Jim Brown, 82, grew up in an era when the laws were against blacks. Yet Brown says racism didn’t affect him as a youth. He excelled in sports, became an actor, activist and an entrepreneur.
Brown doesn’t blame whites or President Trump for the sorry predicament of most black Americans; he puts the blame squarely on blacks. He’s showing black Americans love by telling them the truth. Just imagine if more black athletes and celebrities had the courage to tell the truth.
Blacks are better off listening to the wisdom of President Trump and Jim Brown over the foolishness of Kaepernick.
